A DELICIOUS CONFECTIONERY SPECIALITY
Discover the “Bouchons Vaudois” and their history within the Société Vaudoise des Patrons Pâtissiers-Confiseurs, Chocolatiers, Glaciers, founded on 29 April 1895. Following a fusion in 2013, it retains its own articles of association governed by the Swiss Civil Code. The Association is actively involved in preserving and promoting this emblematic artisanal speciality, a veritable treasure of the Canton’s heritage.
A TRADITIONAL RECIPE
Over the years, the recipe for “Bouchons Vaudois” has been adjusted to make them more efficient. Originally, each cork was filled with a whole caramelised almond, but today a mixture of crushed and caramelised almonds is used to save time.
However, these changes do not alter the authentic nature of the product. Similarly, Diablerets bitter was temporarily replaced by other alcohols, but is now back as an authorised exclusive ingredient.
BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE “BOUCHONNIERS VAUDOIS”
The Société Vaudoise des Patrons Pâtissiers-Confiseurs, Chocolatiers, Glaciers plays an essential role in preserving and promoting Vaudois traditional know-how, particularly through the production and marketing of the famous “Bouchons Vaudois”.
Founded in 1895, it remains a major player in the local artisanal sector, now part of the Société coopérative des Artisans boulangers-pâtissiers-confiseurs vaudois, while retaining its own statutes governed by the Swiss Civil Code.
